How to read and use a Life Safety plan By Katie Flower
Approximate length of session is 1 hour
Instructor: Katie Flower

This course is designed for specification writers, architectural consultants and anyone who needs to work with life safety plans to determine code compliant doors and hardware. We use actual plans from past projects and teach how to determine the egress side of the door, verify occupant loads and paths of egress while looking for red flags such as travel distance to exits, separation of exits, common path of travel and dead end corridors. The course also covers fire rated walls and partition types to determine the appropriate fire and smoke ratings of openings.

One day after attending the session, you will receive an email which can be considered your proof of attendance. The session you attend qualifies for ASSA ABLOY Credit Hour(s). These credit hours can be submitted to your employer or one of our industry association partners for Industry CEU’s.
